Definitely enjoyed reading it during flights as it mAde the flight pass quickly. Glad I purchased it.
Insightful into a lawyers life. The New Mexico references are real and funny. Not a far reach from real New Mexico politics and law enforcement. A bit redundant at times.
Lee makes his characters come to life. A real page turner! I couldn't put it down, but I didn't want it to end! I feel like Brett is my best friend, and I'd hire him to be my attorney. David Lee is another John Grisham, and I cannot wait for his next book.
I loved this book, it was well written and I could not put it down. It was a great second book by author David Lee. The characters and story line were well developed and having visited Albuquerque I enjoyed the references to restaurants and points of interest there. Not being familiar with the law, I found the legal information interesting. David Lee reminds me of author David Baldacci. Jean Hoffman
This is a fast-paced read with balanced doses of suspense, intrigue, hijinks, plot twists, romance and humor---some great lawyer and politician jokes. The notorious protagonis, Brett Donovan manages to dodge a few serious attempts on his life and solves a murder and political scandal involving the governor in the process. Highly recommended!
